Teach English to Adults (Flexible Schedule)

WE ARE LOOKING FOR PART-TIME ESL TUTORS

❓ Who We Are:
• The Faculty is a leading provider of online teaching services, with a wealth of experience and expertise in the education and recruitment sectors.

What You’ll Do:
• Guide students while delivering English lessons based on a topic-orientated methodology.
• Engage and encourage students positively throughout the lesson, actively working to improve their self-confidence and English-speaking skills.
• Manage a classroom and provide feedback to students on their language proficiency.

What We’re Looking For:
• A matric/high school diploma is required.
• A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate is required.
• Great command of the English language (accent neutral).
• Computer literate and able to troubleshoot.
• Comfortable using Zoom as a teaching platform.

⏰ Working Conditions:
• The classes are booked two weeks in advance within your chosen Open Availability (see below).
• You have the opportunity to pick up additional classes outside of your scheduled shift when available.
• All lesson material is provided.
• All students are adults.
• Should your application and interview be successful we will ask you to attend a 1-day online training session and present a demo lesson to our quality and training team.

⏳Open Availability in South African Standard Time:
• Mon-Fri 19:00 - 03:00
• Mon-Fri 03:00 - 11:00
• Mon-Fri 11:00 - 19:00
• Sat & Sun 19:00 - 03:00
• Sat & Sun 03:00 - 11:00
• Sat & Sun 11:00 - 19:00

PC specifications:
• Processor: Intel ® Core™ i5 CPU @2.40GHz (4 CPUs) or greater.
• Memory: 8GB RAM or greater.

Backup power:

Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life of up to 4-5 hours (or willing to purchase before commencing teaching). This is a non-negotiable requirement.

A separate mini power supply system to power your fiber router as an independent system.

Internet Connection:
• A stable FIBRE internet connection - at a minimum of 25 mbps upload and download speeds.
• PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection.
• PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ACCEPT WIFI, 5G OR LTE CONNECTIONS.

️Technical Requirements Other:
• Noise-cancelling headsets (Back-up headset highly recommended).
• HD web camera.
• Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment.
