Internal Audit Lead (Internal Controls/Audit Risks) - Remote
Posted 2025-05-31DSSP is looking to hire an energetic, forward-thinking Internal Audit Lead (Internal Controls/Audit Risks) to support the US Army!
Location: Remote (candidates may need to travel into the office in Northern VA area 1/quarter)
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $65k - $130k, depending on labor category level
In this position, you will support the Environmental & Disposal Liability AAT. An AAT is a cross-functional team that quickly and continually assesses a situation, develops plans, and aligns resources to take effective action as quickly as possible and achieve the outcome. Uniting personnel, resources, and information in one physical or virtual location achieves more faster than the individual elements would accomplish separately.
Qualified candidates must posses:
Ability to perform risks assessment and identify internal controls
Knowledge of federal accounting standards (i.e. FASAB) and GAAP
Experience designing and implementing corrective actions to address audit risks
Requirements Level 1:
Secret Clearance (Required)
4 years of Federal experience AND
2 years of Federal Accounting experience AND
Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Business Management OR
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Business Management AND CPA or CISA or PMP or CGFM or CDFM
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Requirements Level 2:
Secret Clearance (Required)
6 years of Federal experience AND
4 years of Federal Accounting experience AND
Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Business Management OR
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Business Management AND CPA or CISA or PMP or CGFM or CDFM
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Required skills:
Experience with identification of audit risks and internal controls; develop of risk and control matrices (RACMs)
Knowledge of federal accounting standards (i.e. FASAB) and GAAP
Experience designing and implementing corrective actions to address audit risks
Experience with end-to-end process mapping
Preferred Skills (not required):
Experience with Federal / DoD clients
Knowledge of Environmental and Disposal Liabilities
Performing federal audits
Experience with cost estimation for Environmental & Disposal Liabilities
