Lead Software Engineering (UI)- US Based Remote

This position is for someone who is a designer first, developer second. Must be able to digest random branding material with no pattern and translate, codify, and modernize into our new platform using CSS vars, so it can be maintained, perform well, and satisfy accessibility and mobile (html5) requirements.

Mature individual capable of working with Stakeholders and speaking their language is a key trait.

Must have a design portfolio, not a website they coded on. No material or bootstrap - that’s someone else’s design

Looking for UI experts fluent in f ront-end technologies and design

Experience working within and/or contributing to a design system (not a design library)

S tudy in Usability, HFE , Design principles , Color theory

Required Skills:
• Graphic Design
• Photoshop / Illustrator / Figma
• CSS Animations
• Hierarchal, scoped CSS without libraries
• SVG programming
• Semantic HTML for SEO and a11y / JSX
• ES6 / Javascript

Things you will NOT use:
• Bootstrap / MUI / Tachyons / Tailwind / CRA
• Other magic libraries

Bonus skills:
• React / Redux (or commensurate store) / React Router
