A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Patent Agent to join its Patent Prosecution & Litigation Practice Group, specializing in Electrical Engineering & Software. This role offers the opportunity to engage in high-level intellectual property matters, focusing on drafting and prosecuting patents related to electrical engineering, computer science, and cutting-edge technologies.

- Duties:
- Draft and prosecute patent applications in the fields of electrical engineering, software, and computer science.
- Handle patent litigation matters, providing expert guidance to clients.
- Advise clients on intellectual property strategies, portfolio development, and protection.
- Conduct patentability, infringement, and validity analyses.
- Represent clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on prosecution and litigation cases.
- Requirements:
- Experience in intellectual property law, with a focus on patent prosecution and litigation.
- Strong background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Design engineering experience in chip companies is a plus.
- Preference for expertise in networking, software, and wireless technologies (3G/4G/5G).
- Associate and Patent Agent candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and have 2-6 years of experience.
- All candidates must be a member of the USPTO.
- Education:
- Relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field).
- Certifications:
- USPTO registration required for all candidates.
- Skills:
- Exceptional written and oral communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple complex matters.
