Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Web Administrator to collaborate with the IT Web Services team and act as a liaison between the Communications Division and IT Web Services. This role is responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of web content and functionality, optimizing website performance, and maintaining accessibility and user-friendly web experiences.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Drupal CMS, strong web and accessibility standards knowledge, and a proven track record in executing complex web designs. This position requires technical expertise combined with effective communication skills, as the Web Administrator will represent the Communications team in cross-departmental projects while working under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
• Website Administration & Content Management
• Assist in planning and executing multiple website migrations to ensure content is current, functional, accessible, and user-friendly.
• Administer and update website content using Drupal CMS, maintaining best practices for content creation, navigation, governance, and quality control.
• Collaborate with content managers to facilitate a smooth transition of web content and functionality.
• Provide support and guidance to content contributors across various departments to ensure consistent CMS usage and adherence to web standards.
• Website Optimization & Performance
• Work with the IT Web Services team to ensure website performance is optimized for speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Monitor website analytics and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
• Implement best practices for website performance, security, and SEO.
• Technical Support & Collaboration
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the Communications Division and IT Web Services team, effectively translating technical requirements into functional communication strategies.
• Coordinate with web contributors to implement new content, updates, and website enhancements.
• Test code, designs, and content for compatibility across browsers and devices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues that arise during website migration, providing timely resolutions.
• Accessibility & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and other web accessibility standards.
• Work closely with IT Web Services to resolve accessibility issues and implement best practices for web design and development.
• Provide accessibility support and remediation for presentations, documents, websites, forms, and other digital content.
