The Activities Assistant - Memory Care at Loma Clara Senior Living is responsible for organizing and facilitating activities that enhance the quality of life for residents in memory care. This role focuses on creating a vibrant social atmosphere, promoting resident engagement, and ensuring that activities cater to the diverse needs of seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia. The position requires collaboration with the Vibrant Life® Director to implement programs that support the physical, mental, and psychological well-being of residents.
Responsibilities
Organize, plan, facilitate, and direct the overall operations of the Vibrant Life® Department for Memory Care.

Provide a creative social atmosphere and promote resident and family participation through scheduled events and activities.

Coordinate and attend all special functions and activity programs with the Vibrant Life® Director.

Implement ISL Vibrant Life® Standards in Memory Care.

Ensure activities acknowledge the cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity of residents and their families.
Requirements
One year of experience in conducting group activities.
,
Knowledgeable in evaluating residents' needs and supervising other employees.
,
Experience working with seniors with Alzheimer's/dementia.
Nice-to-haves
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
