IEHP Nutrition Coach

We are seeking a dedicated Health & Nutrition Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting healthy lifestyles and helping individuals achieve their wellness goals through personalized coaching and guidance. You will lead various nutrition classes, including food demonstrations and nutrition education for IEHP Members and the surrounding community. Work Model is 100% onsite.
- Duties:
- Develop personalized nutrition programs for groups at the Community Wellness Centers
- Lead scheduled nutrition and food demonstration classes, accommodating different health limitations and adhering to known food allergies
- Create customized nutrition plans with appropriate modifications and goals for individuals and groups
- Assist participants in setting and achieving short- and long-term nutrition goals, supporting them to maintain progress and take control of their health
- Foster a sense of community and connection among participants through effective communication and encouragement
- Provided certified Emergency First Aid when necessary
- Education & Experience:
- Minimum of (3) years' experience as a nutrition coach or instructor directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Specific experience teaching nutrition and developing nutritious meal plans in a group setting.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Active Food Handlers Card (San Bernardino or Riverside Counties) may be obtained prior to start date.
- Active CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Possession of either an active, unrestricted, NASM Certified Nutrition (CNC), Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), or equivalent certification or license required. **Nutrition Instructors needed for Community Wellness Centers in Riverside, San Bernardino.
As part of this role, you will need to demo a cooking class session during your interview. Only those who have prior class or group instruction experience should apply.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $57,054.40 - $74,172.80 per year
Expected hours: 32 per week
