About the position

The Inventory Specialist at Johnson & Johnson's Ethicon division in San Angelo, TX, is responsible for managing inventory processes, including creating and maintaining work orders, monitoring material shortages, and conducting regular cycle counts. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring efficient inventory management and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
• Creates Work Orders for manufacturing, validations, programs, testing, salvage process, etc.
,
• Notifies the Capacity Planner of material shortages.
,
• Monitors Work Orders (WO) and Purchase Orders (PO) that are aging in Departments 104 & 106 using system reports and physical searches.
,
• Communicates any major issues to the shift incoming Inventory Specialist.
,
• Performs regular Cycle counts per approved procedures in conjunction with Warehouse/Vault Associates.
,
• Investigates Inventory Discrepancies.
,
• Performs JDE PO Receipts.
,
• Communicates with Purchasing and/or Raw Material Supply Planners regarding PO discrepancies/missing paperwork.
,
• Reviews and completes NCR/Salvage Process tasks on a daily basis.
,
• Reviews Hold Cages to resolve discrepancies.
,
• Creates daily orders in JDE for shipments to Affiliates and Ethicon NA sites.
,
• Provides support to internal departments to resolve work order issues.
,
• Communicates changes in capacity of batches to be kitted, receiving priorities, or Outgoing Raw Material shipments to Warehouse/Vault Facilitator and Associates.
,
• Assists Warehouse/Vault/Shipping Associate Facilitator with Department (106) Production Meetings.
,
• Acts as backup for Warehouse/Vault Associate Facilitator as needed.
,
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Supervisor and/or Designee.
,
• Follows current Compliance Regulations and Standards.
,
• Ensures safe working conditions and practices in the Department.
,
• Attends/Completes assigned Trainings as instructed by Supervisor or designee.

Requirements
• Associate Degree or equivalent skills, experience, or training required
,
• APICS certification (preferred)
,
• Basic computer skills and use of software application(s)
,
• Knowledge of ERP system, Intermediate Excel skills
,
• Understands ADAPTIV
,
• Understands and adheres to EPS principles and rules
,
• English (Speak, Read, Write), Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish)
