About the position

The Shared Services Administrator - Human Resources role at USG Corporation is focused on providing comprehensive HR support at a manufacturing plant in Sweetwater, Texas. This on-site position involves coordinating daily HR administration tasks, assisting employees with company policies and benefits, and managing various employee engagement initiatives. The role is integral to maintaining a positive workplace environment and ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.

Responsibilities
• Coordinates daily duties in general HR administration and business support at a manufacturing plant.

• Serves as an on-site resource to assist employees with understanding company policies, procedures, and benefit coverages.
,
• Participates and coordinates plant onsite interviews for hourly openings.
,
• Coordinates on-site tasks required to source and onboard new employees.
,
• Generates messages and communications to keep employees informed of news and events.
,
• Coordinates assigned components of the plant safety program, including training and incentives.
,
• Assists with Worker's Comp cases and other HR tasks as needed.
,
• Manages plant first aid injury cases and coordinates annual employee medical testing.
,
• Supports various plant employee engagement initiatives, such as family day and golf tournaments.
,
• Maintains the personnel filing system and processes employee charges/reimbursements.

Requirements
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar HR role is preferred.
,
• Exposure to workplace safety administration is a plus.
,
• Detail-oriented in the generation and maintenance of records and filing systems.
,
• Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks.
,
• Self-starter with the ability to manage time efficiently and productively.
,
• Adaptable to new and changing circumstances.
,
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with employees.
,
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
,
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software and aptitude to learn new applications; Oracle experience is a plus.
