Job Requirements
Airframe and Powerplant license required. FCC General Radio Telephone Operators license, if applicable
High School diploma, GED or equivalent
Must be able to pass Company/DOT Drug Test
Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and days off
Ability to read, write and fluently speak and understand the English language
Must fulfill FAA criminal background check to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA), if applicable
Must maintain a valid passport and the ability to travel freely to and from all of the cities served by Envoy Air

Job Description
The work of an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Mechanic) includes all work performed on an aircraft or in a shop on aircraft components. This classification includes, but is not limited to the following: troubleshooting, individually or with Crew Chief, management or under professional direction, disassembling, overhauling, checking, rand cleaning, repairing, replacing, testing, adjusting, assembling, installing, servicing, fabricating, taxiing or towing airplanes and/or run-up of engines.
Required to maintain the airworthiness of aircraft and all their components while in service or while undergoing overhaul and/or modification. Certifies for quality of own workmanship, including signing mechanical flight releases for all work done on field work. May have other Mechanic personnel assigned to assist him/her in completing an assignment. Will work according to FAA and Company regulation, procedures and instructions from Crew Chief or supervisor. Completes forms connected with other Company personnel as required in a manner designated by the Company.
All tasks listed above are done within specific time constraints, which are determined by when an aircraft arrives and departs. If the tasks are not completed in time, it can cause problems for passengers, like delayed flights and concerns for their safety of the safety of the airline staff. Not doing these tasks correctly could lead to passengers getting hurt, as well as damage to the airport equipment or the airlines planes.
