We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cisco Network Engineer for a hybrid opportunity in Texarkana, Texas to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing the network infrastructure for the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of networking concepts, advanced troubleshooting skills, and experience with Cisco technologies.

The candidate must hold a CCIE, CCNP, or CCNA certification and demonstrate the ability to handle complex network environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design & Implementation:
• Plan, configure, and deploy complex Cisco-based network systems for enterprise environments.
• Design and implement routing, switching, security, and wireless solutions in large-scale networks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across multiple layers, ensuring high availability and reliability.

Network Management & Optimization:
• Monitor network performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize infrastructure for better efficiency and security.
• Implement and enforce network policies, and monitor traffic to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct regular network health checks and audits, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

Troubleshooting & Support:
• Provide advanced network troubleshooting support for escalated network issues.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve network-related problems in a timely manner.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, designs, and troubleshooting processes.

Collaboration & Mentorship:
• Work closely with other engineering teams to integrate and deploy new technologies.
• Mentor and train junior network engineers, sharing best practices and knowledge.
• Act as a technical lead on complex network projects and provide guidance to team members.

Security Management:
• Implement and manage Cisco security devices (firewalls, VPNs, etc.) to safeguard the network.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and take corrective actions to maintain a secure network environment.

Project Management:
• Lead network projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within scope.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when required for equipment procurement or specialized services.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification required.
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) and related technologies.

Experience:
• At least 5-7 years of experience working with Cisco networking equipment in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of advanced networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and VPNs.
• Proven experience with Cisco routing and switching, wireless technologies, and network security configurations.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex network issues and performing root cause analysis.

Skills:
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and architectures (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS, NX-OS, or other Cisco network operating systems.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: • Knowledge of cloud networking and SD-WAN technologies. • Experience with Cisco Meraki, ASA firewalls, and Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine). • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting). • Experience with high-availability configurations (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP).
