Millions of Monsters seeks a 3D Environment Artist to create stylized maps and fantasy props for their innovative cross-platform PvP strategy game. The ideal candidate possesses strong Blender or Maya skills, understands texture mapping and Unity pipelines, and is passionate about game development.

Overview
Founded in 2023, Millions of Monsters is all about game design innovation. Were fully funded by all-star investors. Our team is highly passionate & enjoys working hard on games that inspire us!
Our first game is an innovative cross-platform PvP strategy game inspired by classic chess, and it has shown very positive results in early community playtesting. We're now hiring a 3D environment artist to work on stylized maps for the game
What you will achieve
You will be working with the Art Director to help create fantasy props and maps. You will:
Collaborate with the team to come up with fun and exciting ideas that fit within the worlds we are creating
Produce high quality, stylized environment assets with hand painted textures then import game ready versions into Unity
Work efficiently to produce high quality work within set timelines
Work with the Art Director to ensure style and quality consistency throughout the game
Be a proactive problem solver and contributor to ideas, meetings and the overall project
Regularly play the game with the team!
Need to have
Knowledge of asset creation in Blender or Maya
Knowledge of texture map techniques including normals and hand painting
Basic knowledge of Unity asset pipelines
General understanding of color, lighting and composition
Ability to follow and accurately execute on given concept art
Desire to learn new skills and techniques
Ability to communicate or express ideas through basic sketches
Desire to work and collaborate with other people in a physical location
Passion for playing and making great games!
Nice to have
Drawing or concept art skills
2+ years of game industry experience
Experience with top down game art creation
Broad range of gaming knowledge
Willingness to join in random office karaoke sessions
