We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Documentation Specialist to assist a senior US lawyer in drafting and reviewing legal documents. This role is ideal for someone with a strong legal background, excellent research skills, and experience in US legal drafting and compliance. You will work remotely and collaborate closely with the senior attorney to produce high-quality legal documentation.
Key Responsibilities: Draft, edit, and review legal documents, contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence. Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with US laws and regulations. Assist in case preparation, document organization, and citation formatting. Maintain legal templates and contract repositories for efficiency. Collaborate with the senior lawyer to ensure accuracy and adherence to legal best practices. Stay updated on legal precedents, regulatory changes, and industry-specific compliance.
Required Qualifications: Law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) from an accredited institution Experience in US legal drafting (10+ years preferred) Strong knowledge of legal terminology, contract law, and compliance standards Familiarity with US contract law, corporate law, or litigation support Excellent legal research and writing skills (Westlaw, LexisNexis preferred) Ability to work independently in a remote setting Proficiency in MS Word and legal document formatting tools
Preferred Qualifications: Bar membership (US or international) is a plus but not required Experience working with law firms or corporate legal teams Familiarity with legal tech tools and document automation
