Role Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented temporary Part-Time Accounting Assistant to support our finance team. This role will be instrumental in helping manage inbox workflows, accounting system reviews, reconciliations, vendor follow-ups, and administrative support. The position is ideal for someone looking for flexible hours and hands-on experience in an agency finance environment.

This is a part time, temporary position, remote

· Monitor and manage accounting inboxes, including forwarding and responding to vendor inquiries (e.g., FastPay Advantage).

· Review, sort, and manage queues in Avid; handle exceptions/flags; assist in pre-payment reporting via Slack and reminder coordination for Google/Meta.

· Prepare monthly reconciliation materials by pulling documentation from Aqua, extracting reports from Advantage, and supporting the Rec Tracker.

· Assist with Amex expense review and reconciliation documentation.

· Participate in clean-up and special projects as assigned (e.g., invoice archiving, remit address verifications).

· Maintain clear and professional communication with coordinators and specialists.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Previous experience or coursework in accounting or finance preferred.

· Exceptional organizational skills and a knack for follow-ups.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel basics and G Suite tools.

· Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

· Detail-oriented and proactive in seeking clarity where needed.
