As we expand, we are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/ Office Accountant to support our financial operations.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts payable and receivable functions for all five locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The position is part-time; about 30 hours per week are required.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate financial records for all locations
- Assist with weekly and monthly financial reporting
- Support month-end closing processes and coordinate with external CPA as needed
- Track and categorize expenses by location
- Communicate with GMs and vendors to resolve payment issues
- Help implement cost control measures and identify financial efficiencies
- Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of AP/AR experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with a team
- Familiarity with multi-location restaurant operations a plus
