Also performs discharge cleaning as needed. Job Summary Schedule: Part-time Monday through Friday 4pm - 8pm Principal Duties/Physical Demands Performs the 8-step cleaning procedures, daily cleaning, discharge cleaning, bed making, wall spots, toilet cleaning, high and low dusting, and O.R. terminal cleaning. Completes work from previous shift if needed, reports all incomplete assignments and maintenance issues. Cleans up all organic body waste, i.e. blood and body fluids, feces, sputum, etc. as instructed by the supervisor or team leader. Hangs cubical curtains, shower curtains, and window curtains Up on discharge cleaning, disinfect and/or sanitize I.V. poles, pumps, and other patient equipment. Performs all Environmental Services-related tasks and demonstrates the ability to follow department guidelines related to the work. Performs basic and heavier cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods. Cleans patient equipment as requested by the supervisor including beds and all room furnishings. Assists in manpower support for office and/or related moves, special conference room set-ups, and any other occasions as required. Ability to perform cleaning of emergency spills when observed and/or upon request. Grade: 100 Qualifications High school education or equivalent preferred. Must have the ability to understand and converse in English at a level that allows safe, efficient performance of the job. Be able to lift 25-50 pounds.
