Lead Medical Transcriptionist

The Lead Medical Transcriptionist performs quality reviews of transcriptionists, which includes review, edit, and marking of errors on a quarterly basis unless required sooner to ensure the quality of reports. This position also maintains and updates the transcription style guide and gathers information to put together the quarterly department newsletter.
The Lead Medical Transcriptionist also transcribe and edit all notes dictated on the Dictation System in an acceptable, pre-determined timely manner, thus making it available in the patient's medical record quickly, helping to ensure quality care.
- Responsibilities:
- * Performs quality reviews of transcriptionists. i.e., review, edit, and marking of errors on a quarterly basis unless required sooner
- Maintain and updates department transcription style guide
- Gathers information and put together quarterly department newsletter.
- Transcribe/edit inpatient history and physicals, operative reports, discharge summaries, consultation notes, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery office operative notes, Gastroenterology notes, and Ambulatory clinic notes utilizing dictation system.

Qualifications:
- Education and Work Experience:
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must possess 2 years experience in acute care hospital transcribing and editing
Min: USD $25.30/Hr. Max: USD $41.75/Hr. Benefits:
