Postgraduate Fellowship Description:

Children’s Justice Campaign (ENOUGH ABUSE®) Postgraduate Fellows are recent college graduates seeking a gap year (or two) before pursuing further postgraduate education. These limited-term fellowships will be for high-performing recent graduates interested in pursuing careers in public service, particularly in the child protective space. Over the course of the fellowship, fellows will gain incredible exposure to all aspects of the organization’s operations, including legal and policy research and strategy; legislative writing and committee testimony; oversight and planning of small-scale events; marketing and distribution of research and other information; and other tasks that will advance the organization’s goals of protecting children.

    Duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing Summer, Fall, and Spring Interns.
  • Maintaining the National Director’s Calendar.
  • Overseeing Children’s Justice Campaign social media and website.
  • Preparing the National Director for oral testimony in front of legislative committees by conducting background research on committees.
  • Booking travel, accommodations, and legislative committee appearances for the National Director.
  • Assisting with pre- and post- meeting preparation with lawmakers and advocates, through note taking, background research, and other tasks required.
  • Taking on research projects.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of organization.
  • Successfully completing critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting outgoing emails/communications to advocates on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Directly reporting to the National Director.
  • Adhering to the mission and vision of ENOUGH ABUSE®.
  • Performing other duties requested from the staff at ENOUGH ABUSE®.
    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Interested in pursuing law school or other graduate studies.
  • Reliable, dependable, and trustworthy.
  • Previous intern experience at a law firm, nonprofit, or child protection is a plus.
  • Trauma-informed training preferred.
  • Demonstrated a high level of professionalism and ability to provide professional responses.
  • Very strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills including grammar and punctuation.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills.
  • A sense of humor!
  • Highly resourceful team player and able to work independently when required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, Canva, Google Workspace, and social media platforms.

Salary: $40,000.00 per year depending on experience.

Start Date: Mid to late July.

Schedule: Monday to Friday.
