JOB SUMMARY

The Director, Global Luxury Sales, Leisure and Bank Programs is responsible for leading the team of Global Luxury Account Executives and administrative staff on the US & Canada Luxury Travel Industry Team. The Director, Global Luxury Sales, Leisure and Bank Programs will be responsible for managing the relationships with bank travel programs (e.g.- American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts and The Hotel Collection, Chase Travel and co-brand credit card lodging programs). In addition to the day-to-day management of these bank programs, this position plays a leadership role in coordinating a global team of Luxury Account Executives in executing the bank programs in their regions in conjunction with the Continents, Co-Brand, Loyalty, Distribution, Revenue Management and Legal teams. In addition, the Director, Global Luxury Sales, Leisure and Bank Programs leads the team that executes the STARS & LUMINOUS Program and works in partnership with the Senior Director to develop a global strategy for the program.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

    Required
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university.
  • 10+ years of hotel or travel industry sales experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
  • Account management experience, specifically complex accounts.
  • English language written and spoken.
    Preferred
  • Extensive luxury hospitality experience and knowledge of the luxury customer.
  • Recent experience managing both the leisure travel segment and familiarity with bank lodging programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization both at corporate and in the field, while maintaining positive relationships with customers (both internal and external).
    CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
  • Drive the company’s strategic priorities for the bank credit card lodging programs including strategic account management, to include account mapping, understanding of all revenue streams and a complete customer relationship plan.
  • Liaise with relevant cross-discipline groups including the Marriott GSO, Distribution, Loyalty, Co-brand, Brand, Marketing, Partnerships, Legal to resolve partner issues and ensure profitability of the account.
  • Provide education and guidance to brand and property sales on specific accounts, account strategies, best practices, and recommended sales methodologies. Coach and mentor property sales teams to drive superior results in this luxury segment.
  • Retain and grow account revenues through increased account penetration and implementation of strategic account principles for the STARS & LUMINOUS Program.
  • Support luxury customer and industry events and cultivate and ensure exceptional customer relationships at all levels of an account.
  • Advise key stakeholders on existing and evolving business and operation issues.
  • Champion excellence in business ethics, integrity and build an environment with a high level of morale, motivation, and engagement.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of Marriott’s luxury brand portfolio globally; develop complete and thorough knowledge of hotel product and experience that may interest assigned accounts.

The salary range for this position is $117,700 to $203,500 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants.

Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
