Position: Shipping Lead + Customer Service Assistant
We are seeking a Shipping Lead + Customer Service Assistant to manage inventory, shipping/receiving, facilities, and safety compliance—while providing top-tier customer support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipping & Inventory
- Create/manage shipping labels
- Coordinate large/special orders
- Monitor stock levels & forecast demand
- Handle vendor returns & reimbursements
- Conduct inventory counts & manage restocking
- Receive/inspect merchandise for accuracy/damage
- Track/process orders (incoming & outgoing)
- Maintain out-of-stock records and pricing updates
- Support promotions & ensure OSHA compliance
- Pack/kit boxes; perform basic facilities tasks
- Customer Service
- Assist with product selection, usage & info
- Process purchases and returns
- Provide updates on specials & stock availability
- Respond to out-of-stock inquiries and suggest alternatives
- Escalate issues as needed
- Accurately input customer data
- Support Client Service Manager in customer satisfaction
- Operational Support
- Update website items and pricing
- Follow directions from Client Service Manager & Ops Director
- Attend team meetings and trainings
- Maintain awareness of workflows and priorities
Qualifications
- Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer experience (including MS Office and shipping software)
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Flexible availability
- Preferred:
- Stockroom/warehouse experience
- Retail/gift industry background
- Customer service experience
- Some college or trade coursework
