YouTube Content Coordinator – Uploads, Optimisation, and Channel Growth Support

Posted 2025-06-01
Remote, USA Full-time Immediate Start

We’re building a high-integrity YouTube channel to support a brand targeting business leaders and board-level decision-makers.

We’re not chasing virality — we’re focused on strategic consistency, credibility, and compounding reach. Our goal is to turn longform insight-led videos into a high-trust content engine that reflects our positioning in the AI strategy and advisory space.

We’re now looking for a YouTube Content Coordinator who can own the upload and optimisation process, help us maximise discoverability, and ensure our videos are well-positioned to reach the right audience.

What this role involves:

  • Uploading 1–2 videos per week using titles, tags, descriptions, and metadata that align with YouTube SEO best practices
  • Guiding us on how to structure compelling, algorithm-aware titles and thumbnails
  • Light thumbnail support (Canva-based or providing guidance to our internal designer)
  • Setting up end cards, playlists, featured video positions, and basic channel organisation
  • Providing regular feedback on CTR, retention, and engagement performance
  • Monitoring comments and flagging where a response is needed
  • Supporting consistency and accountability in the publishing cadence

What this role does NOT involve:

  • Scriptwriting, video editing, or content production
  • Brand strategy or message development
  • Cross-posting to other social platforms
  • Building an audience from scratch — we’re layering on to existing content

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience managing YouTube uploads and optimisation (not just video editing)
  • Deep understanding of the YouTube algorithm, metadata, SEO strategy, and channel structure
  • Someone who knows what makes a title clickable, what makes a thumbnail convert, and how to keep a channel clean and strategic
  • Asynchronous, low-touch communication style — clear, timely, and reliable
  • Bonus: experience supporting executive or B2B-facing channels (not just lifestyle or entertainment)

The Setup:

  • 1–2 video uploads per week
  • We will provide the edited video, draft title/description, and base thumbnail asset
  • Your job is to advise, optimise, publish, and support consistency
  • Start with 5–10 hours/week, potentially scaling as the content engine matures

About Us:

We’re a New Zealand-based AI strategy and advisory firm working with boards, business leaders, and executive teams to embed AI into real-world decision-making. Our content is focused, insight-driven, and designed for long-term trust-building.

To apply, please include:

  • Links to 1–3 YouTube channels you’ve helped manage or optimise
  • A short note (2–3 sentences) on how you approach title/thumbnail strategy
  • Hourly rate and typical turnaround time for publishing
