This role involves managing employee relations programs, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and facilitating effective communication between human resources, leadership and employees. The Senior Employee Relations Professional builds and maintains partnerships across the organization to deliver value-added services that support the organization’s culture and business objectives. As a senior member of the Employee Relations team, the ER Professional works to create an employment culture consistent with Hospital values, engaging employees, reducing employment-related liabilities, and protecting hospital assets. This role is responsible for delivering employee relations services by partnering closely with leaders, HR Business Partners, and other HR Team members. The ER Professional role includes coaching, counseling and directing leaders on compliance with employment laws, coordinating complex processes, and delivering ER services such as investigations and conflict resolution.At Children’s Mercy, we are committed to ensuring that everyone feels welcomed within our walls. - Leads and resolves complex employee relations issues by conducting investigates and responding to employee complaints, claims of harassment, and/or claims of discrimination.
- Supports and partners with HR team members on Employee Relations related work.- Conducts and manages the exit interview process- Facilitate the interactive accommodation process under the ADA, advising management on reasonable accommodationsQualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required and 7 or more years experience 7-10 years of HR generalist experience and 5-7 years of Employee Relations experience required or
- Master's Degree (Preferred) and 7 or more years experience 5-7 years of Employee Relations experience required
- PHR or SHRM-CP Preferred
