Job description: My client is looking to hire a superintendent or Sr. superintendent based of Bowie, MD. Projects will be in DC.
- Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project team members to ensure efficient work flow and resource utilisation.
- Ensure that all construction activities comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager, Program Managers and other leadership to develop and maintain the project schedule, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
- Assist in the preparation of project plans, including work schedules, resource allocation, and material procurement.
- Communicate regularly with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
- Monitor project expenses and resource usage to ensure adherence to the project budget.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction activities.
- Identify potential cost-saving measures and implement strategies to optimise resource utilisation.
- Prior experience in the day to day aspects of construction
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field is preferred
- Capacity to stand, walk, and move around the construction site for extended periods
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and compliance
- Minimum 9 years of experience in commercial interior construction, with exposure to federal projects preferred.
- Competitive base salary: 130,000-160,000(depending on experience)
