Job description: Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 14,000 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. Our District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9 – 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.Why We Do This Work:

Organizational Relationship:
Under the primary direction of the principal at both High School campuses the Master Schedule and Assessment Coordinator will be ensure both campuses implement a balanced assessment system and a master schedule for ALL students that will promote academic excellence, foster a safe and caring environment, inspire social/emotional growth, and empower students to graduate college and career ready.What we need:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the organization and implementation of assessment programs;
2. Plan, organize, prepare for all district, state, and national assessments
3. Coordinate and develop a schedule to implement all district and state assessments in alignment with the District’s assessment calendar;
4. Collaborate with teachers, building administration across all three campuses, and all District Departments on implementing best practices, policies, and protocols related to assessments;
5. Prepares the overall planning and implementation of the WPS High School master scheduling process in alignment with District deadlines and the collective bargaining agreement (CBA);
6. Survey staff annually for teaching assignment preference, per the CBA;
7. Program Infinite Campus to reflect the master scheduling needs of both sites;
8. Ensure proper planning and preparation of the master scheduling process and align school preparation with district expectations and priorities;
9. Define district parameters and plan with school sites around key information including, enrollment projections, allocation of FTEs, and curriculum alignment;
10. Ensure that all course numbers and course requirements are aligned with state and district requirements for scheduling and awarding credits;
11. Maintain clear and concise communication with all school leaders;
12. Create a master schedule that is inclusive of intervention/enrichment support;
13. Comply with federal, state, and district policies;
14. Participate in the development of annual School Improvement Plans (SIP) with building administration and/or Instructional Leadership Teams (ILT);
15. Meet regularly with building administration or his/her designee to discuss progress towards district initiatives and school-based SIP goals;
16. Meet with school administration across all campuses to discuss any master scheduling/assessment issues as needed;
17. Evaluates professional development needs for certified and non-certified employees through assessment, needs analysis, surveying, and consultation with appropriate parties;
18. Be familiar with the District’s collective bargaining agreement.Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree or higher required;
2. Administrative Endorsement (Type 75) required;
3. Teaching Certificate preferred;
4. At least 3-5 years of successful secondary (6-12) teaching experience in the public schools or private schools of equivalent status preferred;
5. Experience as a Secondary or District-level administrator preferred;
6. Bilingual preferred;
7. Detailed knowledge and experience in the coordination of high school assessments;
8. Detailed knowledge and experience in the development of school master schedules;
9. Good communication, organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills required;
10. Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite (Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, GMail, Google Calendar, etc.);
11. Proficient in writing, speaking, listening, and interpersonal skills;
12. Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize strategically;
13. Ability to tend to details and review and edit information as necessary for accuracy;
14. Ability to keep detailed records and to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision and follow oral and written instructions;
15. Ability to successfully work in a collaborative environment;
16. Ability to interact with all stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner;
17. Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and manage documents in a timely and effective manner;
18. Understands theories, strategies, and methodologies of adult learning;
19. Strong teaching, leadership, and facilitation skills;
20. Ability to collect and evaluate data related to professional development;
21. Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines;
22. Must be able to lift 30 pounds;
