American Express seeks a <strong>Manager, Risk Management</strong> to develop business strategies and risk management solutions using consumer or business bureau data. This role involves:
<ul>
<li>Analyzing structured and unstructured data using statistical, financial, machine learning, or business intelligence techniques.</li>
<li>Collaborating with technology and other teams to implement risk management policies and business strategies.</li>
<li>Identifying and evaluating new data sources (regulated and unregulated) to enhance the efficiency of American Express products and services.</li>
<li>Applying industry best practices and incorporating regulatory feedback to continuously improve risk management strategies.</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Qualifications</strong></h4>
<strong>Education:</strong>
<ul>
<li>A graduate degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required.</li>
</ul>
<strong>Experience:</strong>
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 1 year of experience in each of the following:
<ul>
<li>Risk management and cost-benefit analysis.</li>
<li>Communicating complex analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li>
<li>Collaboration with technical, analytical, business, and non-technical teams.</li>
<li>Business process improvement, project management, and driving organizational change.</li>
<li>Using MS Excel for financial and data reporting/modeling.</li>
<li>Proficiency in tools such as Databricks, Python, R, SAS, SQL, Tableau, Teradata, Unix, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).</li>
</ul>
