About the position


The Project Support Assistant at Tetra Tech plays a crucial role in assisting project managers with the setup and closure of projects for the United States Postal Services (USPS) program. This remote position requires the candidate to live within commuting distance to Gainesville, FL, to facilitate client visits when necessary. The role involves managing project documentation, conducting conflict of interest screenings, and supporting financial and procurement teams, ensuring that all project-related tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.


Responsibilities




  • Assist project managers in setting up and closing out projects for the USPS program.
  • ,

  • Conduct conflict of interest screenings for each project request.
  • ,

  • Prepare bid and proposal checks within the database for each project request and monitor progress through the system.
  • ,

  • Set up all documentation templates (proposals/reports/quality control review sheets) for each project.
  • ,

  • Complete the check at the conclusion of each project to ensure all documentation is present and remove extraneous files.
  • ,

  • Update the USPS program database with each new project and monitor them through the process.
  • ,

  • Support the USPS financial manager with requests.
  • ,

  • Support the USPS procurement team with requests.
  • ,

  • Provide support for report preparation, formatting, and submittal.
  • ,

  • Assist project managers and financial managers in tracking invoicing and payments through the client's web-based purchasing/invoicing system.


Requirements




  • Minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
  • ,

  • Prior work experience with federal government programs preferred.
  • ,

  • Excellent organization skills.
  • ,

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at different phases of work.
  • ,

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Word and Adobe Acrobat Editor.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

  • Capability to work in a team environment, but individually when necessary.

  • Obtain security clearance through the federal government within the USPS branch.

  • Bachelor's of Science (BS) degree preferred; Bachelor's of Art (BA) degree may be considered.
