Remote Bilingual / Bicultural AMFT

Blue Humming Therapy (BHT) is seeking part-time bilingual and bicultural Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT) to provide clinical assessment, counseling, and psychoeducation under supervision. The AMFT will deliver virtual clinical counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing BHT's online platform. The role involves conducting mental health assessments and screenings, making treatment recommendations, and collaborating with other departments to support clients and their families. The AMFT will also provide crisis intervention services and may conduct workshops or seminars on topics such as mindfulness, stress management, and diversity training. This position is designed for those who are passionate about promoting mental well-being in diverse communities and who align with BHT's mission of respect and understanding for all backgrounds. The AMFT will have a flexible schedule, managing a caseload of 10-15 clients per week, and will be expected to work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. While the primary work will be conducted virtually, there is an option to work in-person at the Burlingame, CA office if desired. Responsibilities
Provide virtual clinical counseling to individuals, couples, families, and/or groups.

Provide virtual clinical counseling support to BHT members via its online platform.

Provide virtual counseling and psychoeducation to school staff, employees, children, and families.

Conduct mental health assessments and screenings of clients.

Make recommendations for treatment and other mental health services to various teams.

Provide written reports on assessment findings and collaborate with other departments serving the patient or family members.

Provide consultation to staff, family members, and other service providers as needed.

Provide crisis intervention services for BHT clients as needed.

Conduct occasional workshops/seminars/groups for BHT clients, such as Mindfulness, Stress Management, Diversity Training, and Art Therapy.
Requirements
AMFT registration by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Minimum education: a master's degree in a mental health-related field.

Current, active AMFT registration in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Familiarity with and adherence to state and federal laws and regulations, and the AAMFT and CAMFT Codes of Ethics.

Ability to communicate effectively and work with individuals and families from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
Nice-to-haves
Ability to speak another language besides English is highly desirable.

Knowledge of ethnic culture and ability to provide linguistically and culturally competent mental health services to ethnic communities and families.

Strong writing skills and familiarity with community resources for elders.
