Our billing platform functions as the backbone for managing financial transactions and customer interactions, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction while supporting strategic growth and ensuring compliance.What you will doWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Software Engineer with a proven track record in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale applications and distributed systems. You will become an integral part of a team dedicated to managing GEICO's core billing platform. This platform includes a comprehensive array of components such as a core billing engine, invoicing system, commissions management, collections, payment processing, CRM integration, subscription management, credit control and dunning management, along with reporting and analytics. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in re-architecting our platform from the ground up, focusing on enhancing the scalability and efficiency of our systems.ResponsibilitiesArchitect and implement scalable, high-performance frontend solutions using cutting-edge technologiesDrive technical decisions and best practices for frontend development across multiple teamsOptimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and user experienceImplement and maintain design systems and component librariesContribute to long-term technical roadmaps and product strategyCollaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutionsProvide technical mentorship and guidance to junior and senior frontend engineersLead code reviews and promote best practices in frontend developmentFoster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the engineering teamWork closely with backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiencesCommunicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersParticipate in product design sessions and contribute to feature developmentWho you areWe are looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred12+ years of experience in frontend development, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projectsExpert-level proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSSDeep understanding of modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)Experience with state management, build tools, and testing frameworksStrong knowledge of web performance optimization techniquesExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailOutstanding communication and leadership abilitiesEducationBachelor’s and/or Master's degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experienceAnnual Salary $130,000.00 - $260,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
