+ put the student firstJob Description:Position Summary:
- Field Supervisors will lead coordination, coaching, and tracking of the ongoing performance of initial
- teacher certification candidates in the Program throughout their Pre-Service Training and internship
- year. Field Supervisors will collaborate with mentor teachers to mold aspiring teachers. Program
- leadership will provide development, coaching, and support to individuals in this role. They aspire to
- further develop coaching traits in three buckets: skills, knowledge, mindset, and disposition.
- Qualifications:
- Education/Certification:
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education, ESL/Bilingual Education, or related field (preferred)
- Current and valid Texas teaching certification for desired supervision area(s).
- Those with experience as a campus-level administrator holding a current principal certificate or mid-management may be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum of five years of teaching experience in grades K-12 (public school experience preferred)
- Supervisory experience (preferred)
- Experience with field-based teacher education (preferred)
- Experience with instructional technology, including online learning and data management systems (preferred)
- Certified as a T-TESS appraiser (preferred)
- Shall not be employed by the same school where the candidate being supervised is completing their internship

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Complete state required TEA-approved Field Supervisor Observation Training (or maintain valid T—TESS appraiser certification)
- Complete ResponsiveEd 180 EPP Field Supervisor Training
- Serve as a professional, reliable, and growth-oriented mentor to alternative teaching certification candidates by being accessible, providing instructive feedback, and maintaining all paperwork to ensure candidacy requirements are met.
- Provide guidance and support to the intern teacher and mentor teacher.
- Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the ResponsiveEd Texas College Preparatory Academies (TCPA) charter district and schools.
- Observe, assess, and evaluate interns during Pre-Service Training and internship year.
- Participate in all program assessments and complete and collect all required documentation.
- Create and maintain a professional, friendly, and productive relationship with the alternative certification candidate, the mentor teacher, and campus administration.
- Complete training in and build fluency with program software systems for managing data related to educator preparation.
- Maintain effective communication with the Program Director
- Willing and able to travel to supervision sites within a specific geographical region
- All other related duties as assigned
